Some times I’m amazed at how incredible my kids are. And I am very thankful both kids survived childhood. 🙂 As a home school mom that worked part-time, and cared for my disabled husband, their survival is even more remarkable.

Fiori med Röd Pesto och Skinka – Pasta with Red Pesto and Prosciutto
Fiori is a typically a flower-shaped pasta, but can be interpreted from Italian to Swedish to English. Some day I want to watch fiori being made, which means a trip to Italy, and a visit to a pasta factory. Sounds like a good plan to me!!!

Tzatziki
I have a “thing” for different names – like the current trend of giving children old-fashioned names. It has probably been nearly a hundred years since Mabel, Leonard, and Gunnar have been popular, but young families are resurrecting those dear names.
Our own precious little grandbaby is Lucille Caroline. 🥰

Long ago and far away I had large glass jars with dry mixes for everything – waffles, soups, muffins, hot cocoa, pudding, etc. Days spent at the farm with little kids under foot were made simpler that way, and edible gifts were created in pretty canning jars with the “help” of said kids.

The three C’s — curry, chicken, cashews. They are as exciting as the 3 Musketeers, as innovative as Minnesota-based 3M company, but not nearly as tacky and disturbing as the TV show Three’s Company. 🤣
BLTZ Carbonara
Carbonara is an Italian dish – likely from Rome – that consists of bacon, eggs, cheese, and pasta. Without the fat of cream, the amazing creaminess of this dish comes from egg yolks. Add a bunch of veggies, and even the Italians would say WOW!
Crowd Pleasing Chicken Taco Salad
One of the most difficult questions in my life is, “What shall I bring to the potluck supper?” I know that it sounds crazy! Why would someone who loves to cook struggle so intensely with this quandary? I’m guessing that the answer has something to do with a gang of unknown appetites and travel-ability for … Read more Crowd Pleasing Chicken Taco Salad
Simple Shrimp Scampi
I have always been a sucker for seafood. One of the beauties of traveling is experiencing the freshest local catch – prepared simply, and served steaming hot.
