Food, Family, Faith, and Fun — all wrapped up in one!
William Cowper wrote a poem titled “The Task” in 1785 that includes the idiom, “Variety is the very spice of life, that gives it all its flavour.” How that applies in cooking is obvious, and this recipe absolutely nails it.
I do not claim any understanding of good Italian cooking. I’ve never been to Italy – although it is high on my bucket list – and I’ve never studied Italian cuisine (using a French word there is pretty strong evidence of my non-italophile training), but I do like a good pasta sauce.
Everyone has a favourite colour. Or two. According to modern psychology, favourite colours have a lot to say about our personalities.
The wind is howling, the temperature is dropping, the fire is crackling, the candles are glowing, and COMPANY IS COMING!
